One HVAC marketing service, scheduled month by month

Where we work

Running the service for a British Columbia HVAC company

In BC the service has to plan for two climates at once: mild coastal winters where heat pumps and cooling carry much of the year, and colder Interior and northern winters where heating dominates. Rebate content needs careful dating after July 2026 changes.

British Columbia is home ground for us, and it is also the province where one calendar fits least well. A heating company in Victoria and one in Fort St. John share a province but not a season. The service adjusts by setting the timing of seasonal pages and ad budgets to the climate where you actually work, not to a provincial average.

The BC market and its buyers

BC homeowners split between gas and electric heat, so most companies need two sets of pages. In 2023, 42% of BC households used natural gas for their primary heating and 36% used electricity, according to Statistics Canada. A gas-heated homeowner in Surrey weighing a furnace replacement and an electrically heated homeowner in Kelowna thinking about a heat pump are different searches, and they deserve different pages.

Competition is heaviest in the Lower Mainland, where companies in Surrey, Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, Abbotsford and Coquitlam bid on many of the same searches. On Vancouver Island and in the Okanagan, fewer competitors mean area pages and a strong Business Profile can move a company up faster. Our own BC work includes GasBoilers.ca, a gas-boiler division built for CANRO Heat that serves 26+ BC communities and holds a 5.0★ rating from 76+ Google reviews.

When the calendar shifts in BC

On the coast, demand is spread out; inland, it peaks hard in winter. The southwest coast has mild, wet winters, while the Interior and the North have far colder and longer heating seasons.

  • Coastal companies: heat pump content and campaigns run for much of the year, with cooling enquiries in summer heat. The heating peak is real but shorter, so budgets swing less.
  • Interior and northern companies: heating content needs to be live by late summer, and winter campaigns carry more of the year's budget.
  • Mixed service areas: we split campaigns by region so that a cold snap in Kamloops doesn't spend the Vancouver budget.

Regulators your marketing should reference

We link regulators so your credentials are shown accurately; we don't advise on compliance.

  • Technical Safety BC oversees gas, electrical, boilers, pressure vessels and refrigeration, and licenses gas and electrical contractors.
  • SkilledTradesBC runs trade certification. Several mechanical trades, including gasfitters and refrigeration mechanics, now fall under Skilled Trades Certification.
  • WorkSafeBC is the workers' compensation board, and Consumer Protection BC handles consumer matters.

During onboarding we ask you for your licence details exactly as issued, and show them where homeowners look for them.

Programs to schedule around, as of October 2026

BC has active programs, but the rules changed mid-2026, so every rebate page needs a date and a source.

  • The CleanBC Better Homes Energy Savings Program offers income-qualified rebates for heat pumps and other upgrades. For invoices dated July 6, 2026 or later, some rebates were removed and eligibility narrowed.
  • The Home Renovation Rebate Program is listed for households that are not income-qualified; current amounts were not confirmed.
  • BC Hydro and FortisBC deliver no-cost retrofits for lower-income households under the federal affordability agreement announced on June 29, 2026.

Confirm current terms with the administrator before any of these appears in an ad.

Your first 90 days in BC

  1. Trial week: we benchmark you against the companies winning your searches, split by sub-region if you cover more than one.
  2. Onboarding: separate gas and heat pump service pages, a rebate page dated to the current rules, and Business Profile service areas that match where you really drive.
  3. Month two: campaigns launched by region, with coastal heat pump and inland heating campaigns kept apart.
  4. Month three: the first clean data, used to move budget towards whichever region is producing cheaper booked jobs.

BCWide.ca reached 3× leads in 90 days, which shows what a well-run first quarter can do. See the results page, the pricing page, or the areas hub for other provinces.

Frequently asked questions

When should a BC HVAC company start the service?

For coastal companies, late spring or late summer both work, because demand is spread across the year. Interior and northern companies do best starting by August, so the site and tracking are ready before the long heating season.

Can you advertise CleanBC rebates for us?

We can write accurate pages about programs that are open, linked to the official source and dated. Better Homes BC changed its Energy Savings Program requirements for invoices dated on or after July 6, 2026, so older rebate pages may now be wrong.

Who licenses gas contractors in BC?

Technical Safety BC licenses gas and electrical contractors, and SkilledTradesBC handles trade certification. We link both so your credentials can be shown accurately, but we don't give licensing advice.

Can BC clients meet in person?

Yes. Consultations are available in person or online by video call, as well as by phone, text and email. We are a marketing service, not a contractor, so there is no site work.
