The trial exists so you can judge our work by doing, not by a sales deck. For seven days we study your marketing as if we already ran it, and at the end you get a clear account of what is working, what is leaking calls and what we would do first. It costs nothing and needs no credit card.
What the trial includes
The trial has four parts, and each one answers a different question an owner should ask before hiring anyone.
- Digital marketing audit. Where do your calls come from today, and what does each channel cost you? We look at your website, Business Profile, ads (if any), directory listings and how your company appears across search.
- Website performance check. How fast does your site load on a phone, can a homeowner find your number in two seconds, and does every service you sell have its own page?
- SEO analysis. Which searches you rank for, which ones your competitors own, and which local pages are missing entirely.
- Competitor benchmarking. How you compare with the three to five companies taking the jobs you want in your area, on reviews, page coverage, ad presence and site speed.
Who it suits
The trial suits any HVAC, heating or cooling company in Canada that is thinking about hiring outside help, whether that is us or someone else. It is especially useful in three situations:
- You already pay an agency and suspect the reports look better than the phone sounds.
- You have grown by referral and want to know what a proper search presence would add.
- You are about to spend on a new website and want an outside view before you commit.
How the week usually runs
The schedule below is our normal pattern. Some trials move faster when access is quick, and a few take a day or two longer when accounts have been lost.
| Day | What happens | What we need from you |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Short kick-off call: your services, job values, service area and busy season | 20 minutes |
| 2–3 | Read-only review of your site, Business Profile and any ad or analytics accounts | View access, or login help |
| 4–5 | Search and competitor analysis for your main services and towns | Nothing |
| 6 | Findings written up in plain language, ranked by impact | Nothing |
| 7 | Walk-through call, with a recommended plan and a first-month calendar | 30–40 minutes |
We are a marketing service, not a contractor, so the trial never involves work in your customers' homes. It runs by phone, text, email and screen share, and consultations are also available by video call or in person.
How we measure what we find
Every finding is tied to calls or booked jobs where possible. "Your site is slow" is not a finding; "your service pages take long enough to load on a phone that a share of visitors leave before seeing your number" is. Where we cannot put a number on something yet, usually because tracking is missing, we say so and make fixing the tracking the first job.
We rank findings by likely impact against effort. A wrong service area on your Business Profile is a ten-minute fix with large consequences, so it goes above a full content plan that will take months.
What happens after day 7
Three outcomes are possible, and all of them are fine.
- You start the service. We move straight into onboarding, with the trial findings as the first month's to-do list.
- You start smaller. Sometimes the right answer is a one-time website build or a lighter plan. The pricing page shows the options.
- You stop. You keep the findings and owe nothing.
Mistakes owners make with agency trials
The most common mistake is judging a trial on how polished the presentation looks. Judge it on whether the findings are specific to your company. A good audit names your towns, your services and your competitors; a weak one could have been written about anyone.
Other things to watch for: a trial that ends in a long contract, an audit that skips call tracking, and any promise of a ranking position or lead count. Our guide to evaluating a marketing trial has a full checklist you can use with any agency, and the results page shows what our HVAC clients achieved after the trial stage.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a credit card for the trial?
No. The trial needs no card and no signed agreement. We ask for read access to a few accounts and an hour of your time across the week.
What if I don't continue after the trial?
Then you keep the findings and we part on good terms. Plenty of owners fix the top few issues themselves, and that is a perfectly good use of the week.
Will you change anything on my website during the trial?
No. The trial is observation and analysis only. We look, measure and report; we make no changes to your site, profile or ad accounts until you have approved a plan.
Is the trial only for companies with an existing website?
No. If you have no site, the audit focuses on your Business Profile, your directory listings, your competitors and what a first site should include.
